Snow in Seattle

After a long drought, snow falls again in Seattle in late February 2017.

It snowed one Monday after a three year drought followed by the second year of heavy snowfall in the mountains as torrential rains poured down below. It was a marvelous snow, and it didn’t last. We only received less than an inch to maybe 2 inches atop the higher hills and the ridges further north. Soon enough the snowfall of the 27th of February 2017 melted away.

This video is short and unedited. Enjoy the rawness anyway.

Later the same day after much has already melted down as rain began to drizzle down.

The weather changes as the seasons change. Global climate disruption and the Holocene mass extinction continue to scar the planet as a double Anthropocenic Holocaust born of Capitalism. People take messy fotografs and laugh. Mundane moments of the 21st Century are captured out of time for all eternity, and yet are unlikely to outlast far more ancient renderings in stone and clay. Love blossoms among the living anyway, and life goes on. We know despite the Winter cold Spring is on the way.
